The Old Lock-up Cranbrook. Kent.
This was the second lock-up in Cranbrook. 1850-1864. This project was to create a great new bathroom. The old plasterboard ceiling and walls have been removed, insulated between the studwork, with new plasterboard fixed and skimmed with Multi-finish plaster. Baumit DG 27 Premium Primer.
The original old lime plastered walls, have been primed with Baumit DG-27 Premium primer, and then skimmed with Lime plaster, in this Elizabethan Cottage, at Otham, Nr. Maidstone, Kent. Work carried out in 2019
Agricultural Building Conversion.
This traditional conversion project. Carried out by Unique Building Solutions Ltd. Who have taken this former agricultural building " A pigsty". With it`s ragstone walls and original oak beams, and made it into a great modern guest house. I was called in, to plaster between, the original oak beams and skim the plasterboard walls. The work was carried out at Egerton, Kent. 2019
Lath and lime plaster. The old oak window plasterwork has been repaired, with new laths where needed, and then plastered with three coats of lime plaster, and finally decorated, in a Grade II*. 16th Century. Wealden Hall House. The work was carried out at Smarden Kent in 2018
Thistle Bond-it.
This British-Gypsum product, is being used here to re-skim an Artex stippled ceiling, and then skimming with Multi-Finish Plaster. Creating a smooth finished ceiling at Lenham, Kent. Carried out in 2019
Lime Rendered Panels Repaired, at this late 16th century timber framed, grade II listed cottage. The old panel was falling out, so it was carefully taken down, new oak laths fixed and two coats of lime render applied, and now all finished and ready for decoration at Otham, Kent. carried out in 2018.
New Fireplace.
This project was to remove the "classic" old fire surround, and replace it with a new contempory fire surround. Which involved installing a new lintel, and repairing the brickwork, then finally plastering, at Loose, Maidstone, Kent. The work was carried out in 2018
