Larkfield Church lime plaster repairs.
lime plaster repairs have been carried out to this church, using traditional lime renders, adding horse hair with the lime render, and a lime finish topcoat plaster. To this great grade II listed church, in Larkfield, Near Maidstone, Kent.
This project was carried for https://www.ryeroofing.co.uk/ during 2021.
At Larkfield church, the lime plaster repairs, had been carried out, because of damp issues, so the walls were stripped of damaged render. Then the walls were left to dry out. Once the walls were dry, I could then I could apply coats of lime render, with traditional horse hair added to the mix, to the original ragstone walls. The materials I used came from Chalkdown Lime LTD, at Staplecross, East Sussex. http://www.chalkdownlime.com
